Overseas residents, private businesses, and international students of Chinese nationality residing abroad. All Chinese, including travelers, are monitored by the China Space Party for all overseas activities and online activities, and even the same organization, friends, and colleagues are monitoring each other.
Sometimes, they are used by intimidation using their families in their home countries, or voluntarily for overseas espionage activities in China, and are actively mobilized for the Communist Party’s overseas propaganda activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some overseas critics of the Chinese Communist Party have been emboldened, not cowed, after police and other officials warned them about their activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early one morning last year, she said, she got a call from her father in China, as police officers in his office dictated questions about the petition and demanded she log into her social media accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s kind of unbelievable. How did they find out? My only reaction was to think about how to fool them, how to protect my parents,\u201d said the woman, a scientist based on the East Coast who asked not to be identified by her real name and to withhold her exact location for fear of reprisals from the Chinese government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two prominent Chinese bloggers in exile said this week that Chinese police were interrogating their hundreds of thousands of followers on X and other international social media platforms, urging fans to unsubscribe from their accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the hacking tools that Chinese police use to investigate social media users around the world were revealed in a recent leak of documents from I-Soon, a private security contractor linked to the Chinese government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Determined to speak out\u2019
A chemical engineer living in California has a similar story.
He said he was then contacted by a police officer on the Chinese messaging service WeChat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe asked me to provide my personal accounts for YouTube and Twitter,\u201d the engineer said. \u201cI said no, you can\u2019t ask me that, because I\u2019m in the United States,\u201d where unlike in China he can access such services freely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe said even if you\u2019re in the United States, it\u2019s your responsibility as a Chinese citizen to maintain our country\u2019s good image.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said police contacted his family two other times, and threatened his father with not being able to leave the country \u2014 a practice known as an exit ban that rights groups say is an increasingly<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5979\u8bf4\uff0c\u53bb\u5e74\u7684\u4e00\u5929\u6e05\u6668\uff0c\u5979\u63a5\u5230\u4e86\u5979\u7236\u4eb2\u5728\u4e2d\u56fd\u7684\u7535\u8bdd\uff0c\u5f53\u65f6\u4ed6\u529e\u516c\u5ba4\u7684\u8b66\u5bdf\u53e3\u8ff0\u6709\u5173\u8bf7\u613f\u7684\u95ee\u9898\uff0c\u5e76\u8981\u6c42\u5979\u767b\u5f55\u5979\u7684\u793e\u4ea4\u5a92\u4f53\u8d26\u6237\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4e24\u540d\u6d41\u4ea1\u7684\u4e2d\u56fd\u8457\u540d\u535a\u4e3b\u672c\u5468\u8868\u793a\uff0c\u4e2d\u56fd\u8b66\u65b9\u6b63\u5728X\u548c\u5176\u4ed6\u56fd\u9645\u793e\u4ea4\u5a92\u4f53\u5e73\u53f0\u4e0a\u5ba1\u95ee\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u6570\u5341\u4e07\u540d\u8ffd\u968f\u8005\uff0c\u6566\u4fc3\u7c89\u4e1d\u53d6\u6d88\u8ba2\u9605\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u5e10\u6237\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4e2d\u56fd\u8b66\u65b9\u7528\u4e8e\u8c03\u67e5\u5168\u7403\u793e\u4ea4\u5a92\u4f53\u7528\u6237\u7684\u4e00\u4e9b\u9ed1\u5ba2\u5de5\u5177\u6700\u8fd1\u6cc4\u9732\u4e86\u4e0e\u4e2d\u56fd\u653f\u5e9c\u6709\u8054\u7cfb\u7684\u79c1\u4eba\u5b89\u5168\u627f\u5305\u5546I-Soon\u7684\u6587\u4ef6\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n
