A school gymnasium roof collapsed and killed 11 people in northeast China’s Heilongjiang province on July 23, 2023. Four others were injured. Local media reported that the girls’ volleyball team was practising inside the building at the time of the accident. Construction
The World Health Organisation has said China has not given a full account of how many of its 1.4 billion population succumbed to the disease after it abruptly abandoned strict COVID curbs in December last year.
China said around 80,000 people died from COVID in hospitals across the country in the first two months after curbs were lifted, a period where funeral parlours said they were inundated and long lines of hearses queued outside crematoriums.
Some epidemiologists at the time estimated as many as 2 million people may die from the virus in China.
The province’s data, which did not state the cause of death, has since been taken down. Data for the fourth quarter was also not available. China’s ministry of civil affairs, which collates death statistics, has not published nationwide cremation data covering that period.
Both the Zhejiang provincial government and the ministry of civil affairs did not respond to requests for comment.
During the first three years since late 2019 when the pandemic broke out, China had kept the virus largely in check by adopting a strict “zero-COVID” policy of harsh lockdowns and mass testing.
But towards the end of 2022, the policy started failing as the highly transmissible Omicron variant spread rampantly and local governments struggled to cough up money and manpower to enforce the curbs.
China abruptly changed tack in December 2022 after protests in Beijing, Shanghai and other cities against the curbs.
In January, a government scientist estimated that 80% of China’s 1.4 billion people had become infected.
There were 171,000 cremations registered in the eastern province of Zhejiang in the first quarter, well above the 99,000 in the same period in year before, Chinese financial media outlet Caixin reported, citing official data released by the province. The official statement was later removed from the internet, according to Caixin.
[…] However, that number was widely seen as an underestimate because the government narrowed the criteria for classifying deaths caused by Covid-19 late last year. An estimate in January by Zuo-Feng Zhang, chair of the department of epidemiology at the Fielding School of Public Health at University of California, Los Angeles, put the number of deaths at about 900,000 in those five weeks.
[…] Although Zhejiang province deleted the first quarter data from its website, Caixin cited an unnamed local government official as saying that “some” of the deleted data was accurate and that cremations increased mainly because of the coronavirus. [Source]
If China just reported how many people died I'm quite sure they would look pretty good compared to most countries. The secrecy/patently absurd numbers are a real own goal, sowed so much distrust https://t.co/nPhxd8lonX

Cremations in the Chinese province of Zhejiang rose more than 70% year-on-year in the first quarter, government data showed, an unexplained jump that occurred as a COVID outbreak swept the country.
About 171,000 cremations were registered in Zhejiang – home to around 5% of China’s population – in the first three months of 2023, up from 99,000 in the same period last year, according to data on the province’s civil affairs bureau website.

the former head of China’s Centers for Disease Control said he couldn’t dismiss the possibility that the Covid-19 pandemic was caused by a laboratory leak, BBC reported Tuesday. 据英国广播公司 (BBC) 周二报道,中国疾病预防控制中心前负责人表示,他不能排除 Covid-19 大流行是由实验室泄漏引起的可能性。
The intelligence agency said many Dutch companies and institutions find it difficult to make a proper risk assessment of economic and scientific cooperation with China.
“The country often conceals that the Chinese government or the Chinese army may be involved in such cooperation in the background,” said the report. “The disadvantages of cooperation often only become apparent in the longer term.”
It also said that China targets Dutch high-tech companies and institutions through “corporate takeovers, academic cooperation, as well as illegitimate (digital) espionage, insiders, covert investments and illegal exports”.

Yes. This is the stereotype of CCP’s propaganda to it’s brainwashed peoples.
China is stealing Tibet’s groundwater and selling it back to Tibetans, who previously got it for free. In one of the ads, a young Tibetan nomad woman was seen promoting a Chinese brand of bottled water that is actually sourced from Tibet.
Due to the collective madness and the cunning control of the Communist Party, the youth and young people who lacked learning and lost their reason led to the word “patriotism” and committed subhuman collective actions. People who thought and acted even a little normal were driven to anti-communist parties and beaten to death on the streets, and cultural heritage that had been preserved for thousands of years was destroyed and burned.
At the forefront of these subhuman actions were the youth and young adults of China, and the Communist Party was able to use children who still lacked values or knowledge to eliminate their opponents very easily without getting blood on their hands.
At the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, as Mao Zedong’s permanent rule and dictatorship began in earnest, the dissatisfaction of young people in the Communist Party and intellectuals in China, who were worried about the future of the CCP, came to the surface more and more.
Even when Mao Zedong, who had eliminated the emperor and idealized the socialism of equality for all people, wanted to eliminate all other talented and young successors and maintain the position of emperor even when he grew old.
Right now, it is very similar to China. China’s president overhauled the country’s constitution and made himself emperor to perpetuate his seat, while the CCP is using the internet and media to control China’s youth. Chinese young people who have been accustomed to studying the Communist Party since childhood are very easily swayed by the Communist Party’s instigation.
After burning their own culture, they are now stealing cultures all over the world. The Chinese Communist Party is aiding and abetting Chinese theft and controlling them under the mask of “patriotism.”
As of 2023, China has already returned to the era of emperors, and cultural theft and collective madness have become commonplace. It is proceeding as the Emperor God wants. like; It seems that the atrocities committed by the Red Guards during the Mao Zedong era are reenacted.
